On our way to Oban, we visit the spectacular engineering work of the Falkirk Wheel, The Kelpies, a monument to the Scottish horses, the imposing Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Monument.
Day of organized excursion to the Tour of the 3 islands, combination of coach and boats, including dolphin watching, to visit the islands of Mull, Iona and its famous abbey and Staffa, with its spectacular basaltic columns.
After seeing Stalker Castle, we visit one of the most beautiful valleys in Scotland, the Glencoe Valley. Before crossing by ferry to the Isle of Skye, we see the The Jacobite steam train passing through the Glenfinnan viaduct.
We started our first day on the Isle of Skye with plenty of rain in the beautiful waterfalls of Fairy Pools, but the Sun started to shine in time to see Dunvegan Castle and the turquoise blue waters of Coral beach.
On the second day on the Isle of Skye, after visiting the port of Portree, we went up to the Old Man of Storr, one of the icons of the island. In the afternoon we see the Kilt Rock waterfall that falls into the sea and the hills of Fairy-Glen.
After leaving the Isle of Skye we contemplate the castle of Eilan Donan, the castle of Urquhart on the shore of Loch Ness, we see salmons running up the river in the waterfalls of Rogie Falls and finished the day in the Fairy Glen falls.
After visiting the fortress of Fort George we stroll through Inverness. In the afternoon we move south, visiting the gardens of Blair Castle. We ended the day touring the streets of Pitlochry.
Before arriving in Edinburgh we crossed the Forth Road bridge. In Edinburgh we visited the Calton Hill area, went down to Princes Street and the Scott monument. During the afternoon we strolled along the Royal Mile.
On the second day in Edinburgh we visited his castle, including the crown jewels, the dungeons and St. Margaret´s chapel. We continue through the Cathedral of St. Giles and finished with the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
In the city of Glasgow we visited the Kelvingrove and Riverside museums, which our children liked very much. After the museums we took a walk through the center, where George Square, the cathedral and its shopping streets stand out.
